Programming Unlimited's CNC Helper v1.1 is the fastest, easiest to use assistant for CNC programmers. Using the Microsoft® Windows environment, you point and click instead of searching through Machinery's Handbook or a poorly written control manual when you need to do a calculation, look up reference data or look for a long forgotten "G" code. CNC Helper is designed to assist you with the more mundane tasks of CNC programming. For example you might get a drawing that has angles in the Hour:Minute:Second format (HMS) but the machine tool control is programmed in decimal degrees. CNC Helper has several tools to help you with this type of problem. CNC Helper also has several reference tools to help you with common programming tasks. For example the Thread Reference page has all the data you need to program standard Unified threads including the measurement over wires for the minimum and maximum pitch diameters pre-calculated. There are over 330 Unified threads in the database up to six inches and you can add your own. The thread database is practically a program of its own! Unlike most CNC math programs CNC Helper also has text editor so that you can quickly edit your program. While editing you can use the Comments feature in the Edit menu to add or remove comments from your program. If you have ever wanted to experiment with a program but didn't want to delete a section of code you'll know how handy this feature is. CNC Helper's Specifications- Conversions - CNC Helper has over 35 of the most common unit conversions built in including mm to Inch and pounds to kilograms.
- Degrees - CNC Helper can convert to and from Hours:Minutes:Seconds, Decimal Degrees and Radians. For example if you get a print that calls out 45º30'45" CNC Helper will convert it to decimal degrees.
- Drill Points - CNC Helper can calculate the length of a drill point or tell you how deep a center drill needs to drilled.
- Speeds/Feeds - CNC Helper can calculate SFM or Meters per minute, feed rates in IPR, IPM, MM/Min and MM/Rev for turning and milling. The metal removal rate, Time of Cut and theoretical surface finish for turning operations can also be calculated.
- Threads - CNC Helper can calculate the tap drill diameter for inch and metric threads, best wire diameter for measurement and percent of thread for a given hole size. CNC Helper can calculate the maximum RPM and SFM for threading on a lathe.
- Triangles - CNC Helper can solve Right triangles.
- Weight - The all new weight calculator can calculate the weight of round, square, plate and Hex stock. Given the number of parts needed CNCHelper will calculate the total weight, number of bars needed and the total weight the bars. Plus you can add your own materials.
- Database - CNC Helper has a built in Code Library. To reuse existing code simply open the library, search for the code and click Insert.
- Word Processing - All standard word processor features such as Cut, Copy, Paste, Search, Select All and right mouse button support.
